As you will have seen in our columns, Elden Ring is a real success. An opinion shared by the rest of the press.
FromSoftware’s latest creation has visibly made the press world tremble with joy, and not just us, as our test showed you. They are unanimous, Elden Ring is a true masterpiece. And, not really need to read their opinion, the notes are speaking in themselves.
On the note aggregator OpenCritic, the dark fantasy title published by Bandai Namco can boast of having had a rarely awarded average, which is generally the hallmark of great games. With 90 highly positive reviews, Elden Ring thus rose to first place in the ranking of the best titles with a score evaluated at 97%, thus enthroning the two behemoths from Nintendo: Super Mario Odyssey and The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild.
On Metacritic, same story – the opposite would have been surprising. However, the site gives a little more information on the notes collected by the different versions. If the one for the PS5 gets 97% favorable reviews, the Xbox Series and PC versions have collected 95%. Versions of previous console generations (PS4 and Xbox One) are still awaiting their rating.
Anyway, regardless of the platform, this Elden Ring now becomes the title of FromSoftware highest rated on both platforms (OpenCritic and Metacritic). It remains to be seen whether the players – no doubt in front of them, at the moment, fighting against the impatience that gnaws at them by going over and over again the last trailer (among others) – will share the same opinion.
