Good news for fans of ports of the Dark Souls series on PC: the PvP servers, cut since the beginning of the year, will be brought back online.

FromSoftware had warned: the Dark Souls PC servers, shut down after a critical security breach, had to wait for the end of another huge project, that of the release of Elden Ring, to be back. Finally, a few months after this successful launch, the online PvP mode was still not active. But the developer has not forgotten the players and has finally communicated on this return.

Just before the weekend, the studio confirmed with gaming pc that servers are being restarted.

We are currently in the process of restoring the Dark Souls series online servers on PC. We plan to restore online service for each game graduallybringing back the servers for Dark Souls 3 once we have completed the work needed to fix the issue.

We will provide additional updates as soon as the restoration schedule is finalized. We would like to thank all of our players for their patience and understanding while we work to resolve this issue.

Bad news then: the exact date has not been communicated, although we can see that the studio seems quite confident on the sequel. As for the order of restoration, it would seem that it is by modernity (quite logically), with the third opus in priority.
