Capcom announces the arrival of PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions for its recent Resident Evil Remake and Resident Evil 7.

Almost a year before the release of Resident Evil Village, whose multiplayer mode is still awaited, Capcom has decided to modernize its remakes of Resident Evil 2 and 3, as well as Resident Evil 7, and transpose them to new gen consoles, with all the necessary additions to make them true next-gen titles.

Resident Evil 2, 3, 7: free patches on PS5 and Xbox Series

The Japanese giant therefore announces to us to deploy very soon, but without any precise date, an optimization patch on PS5 and Xbox Series. These will be available for free for all owners of PS4 and Xbox One versions.

On the menu of improvements we note reduced loading times, ray tracing, the addition of 3D audio and an improved framerate. PS5 players can also count on the use of haptic feedback and adaptive triggers of the Dualsense. Enough to give a boost to apps that are already technically very clean.

Furthermore, the PC versions will also be entitled to a similar upgrade, also free of charge.
