French indie game Road 96 will hit the road for PS5, Xbox Series X and old-gen consoles within months.
Road 96 will hit the road again on new platforms. Available since last summer on PC and Nintendo Switch, the procedural narrative game will come set down on PS5, Xbox Series X, PS4 and Xbox One on April 15. The new production of the French DigixArt (Soldats Inconnus and 11-11 Memories Retold) will be for the occasion available both digitally and physically. No collector’s edition on the horizon for these platforms, however.
A procedural road trip is coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X
One narrative and procedural road trip which allows the independent studio to be nominated in no less than 7 categories at the Pégases 2022 thanks to its original proposal which embraces genre codes while trying to break them, sometimes awkwardly. A proposal that had rather seduced the editorial staff with its procedural generation of encounters, its well-pronounced touch of offbeat humor and its rather pleasant interactivity.
Remember that the game takes place during the summer of 1996. In the shoes of several runaway teenagers, the player will have to try to flee the authoritarian regime of Petria and try to influence the destiny of the country through numerous encounters on the path that separates it from the border and the choices that will be presented to it.
