The BAFTA Games Awards will elect the best games of the year

A total of 39 games were nominated in 18 different categories, with Returnal, It Takes Two and Ratchet & Clank largely dominating. Discover the list of games in contention for the ceremony on April 7.

Now a traditional award ceremony for video games, the BAFTA Games Awardsa branch of the very serious British film academy, will take place this Thursday, April 7 at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in Londonin the presence of many industry players and live on the networks.

Eighteen categories were announced and the prizes were voted on by the members of the jurywith the exception this year of the public prize based on a shortlist of 5 games put up for competition on the official site (survey now closed). Returnal leads the nominations for 2022 with 9 potential awardsahead of It Takes Two and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart which were nominated 8 times.
