Microsoft announces the release of a new controller and organizes events around the LGBTQIA+ communities during Pride month.

The month of June rhymes with the month of Pride and Microsoft decided to join these celebrations in order to promote justice and equality for all.

52% of gamers agree that their avatar and character creation is an enhanced representation of their true identity. The video game is a medium that offers the opportunity to gamers and more particularly to members of the LGBTQIA+ communities to be the person they really want to be.

At Xbox, we continue to work to make gaming a safe place, where members of the LGBTQIA+ communities feel welcome and welcome, where everyone is encouraged to play as themselves and enjoy a community that encourages self-expression.

Already last year, Xbox had revealed his Controller inspired by Pride Month and the enthusiasm aroused by it pushed Microsoft to produce in limited quantities. This year and in order to meet the high demand, the controller with a design inspired by Pride month will be available from June 9th. Its motif representing the fusion of 34 community flags wants to reflect this inclusion and reflect this large LGBQTIA+ community. She will fully customizable via the Xbox Design Lab and you will have the choice of customize it to your liking by adding metallic finishes, rubberized handles and even a laser-engraved message, in order to make it truly unique.

In addition to the release of this controller, Xbox just unveiled a series of announcements. During last year’s Pride month edition, Microsoft had donated more than $8 million for the benefit of organizations defending LGBTQIA+ causes and rights. Today, an additional donation of $170,000 will be donated to other associations. Players will also have the opportunity to donate points to Mermaids, OutRight Action International, and National Center for Transgender Equality through Microsoft Rewards.

The narrative game Tell Me Why from French studio DONTNOD will be downloadable from Xbox consoles, Microsoft Store and Steamand playable free throughout the month of June.

The development studio 343 Industriescreated by Microsoftwill display an emblem and a banner in the colors of Pride month. It will also be offered to players ofHalo Infinite a banner as well as the “Unity” emblem to show its colors and its support for the LGBTQIA+ community.

Forza Horizon 5, Forza Horizon 4 and Forza Motorsport 7 will also participate in the celebrations and it will be possible for players to receive an exclusive 2009 Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster.

On the Xbox Gear ShopYou will also find limited edition t-shirt, bags and accessories paying tribute to the LGBTQIA+ communities.
