Suffering from a severe disability since birth, the son of Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft, was defeated by the disease on Monday.
This is tragic news shared by the CEO of Microsoft, Satya Nadella, in a letter sent by the company to its employees. This Monday, his 26-year-old son, Zain, who has had cerebral palsy since birth, lost his fight.
Zain, the real driving force behind Satya’s life, was arguably behind the unwavering commitment for better accessibility with Microsoft since taking over as head of the company. The boss is keen to allow everyone to use the firm’s tools, and in particular the Xbox and its games.
the director of the Seattle Children’s Hospital who was caring for Zain also left a note in the email sent by the leaders:
We will remember Zain for his eclectic taste in music, his sunny smile and the immense joy he brought to his family and all those who loved him.
Last year, the Nadella family gave 15 million dollars in the hospital to fund his research in neuroscience and mental illness. A Microsoft executive also asked employees to respect the privacy of Satya and his wife Anu in this ordeal.
The best course of action right now is to keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers, while allowing them the privacy and peace needed to overcome such a severe loss.
Our thoughts go out to his family and loved ones.
