Sales of the game released in 2020 has just reached a new level and thus reach a certain record for the franchise.
Many have been the games that have taken up the formula of Dynasty Warriors. We can mention for example Hyrule Warriors or the other Nintendo title just released, Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes.
A game worth 2 million
But, here, it is the series dedicated to the manga One Piece which is obviously the subject of this article. In fact, as you know, it is mostly One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 that interests us. It is that the game released in 2020 on consoles (PS4, Xbox One, Switch) and PC has just shared its new figures via a tweet from Bandai Namco in particular.
By passing the bar of 2 million copies distributed(digital and physical sales combined), this fourth opus became the fastest selling episode of Pirate Warriors. Moreover, it alone made half of the sales of a series that was globally distributed 4 million units worldwide.
Quite satisfactory results which nevertheless represent only a drop in the bucket compared to the 500 million volumes of the original work currently in circulation.
